The BIGGEST most Important Thing Ever

16. Nearing Christmas, we should all turn our minds away from the ribbons, paper, gifts, and food, and turn them to the real meaning of Christmas. THE COMING OF OUR LORD, AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. For this, Lord, we are most grateful.

My Endless Gratitude List

7. I'm happy that I could FINALLY switch my earrings! Josh wanted me to put in the ones that he bought me for my birthday, cute little strawberries, so I did.
I got my ears pierced for my birthday in March, but alas, the day before I was to put the "fun" ones in, I got a lousy infection. I was really faithful cleaning them every day, so when the people at Claire's told me that I might be one of the few people that could never wear earrings, I was crushed. I felt like I was being stabbed in the heart forty million times ten.

**********************************************************************************

On Halloween, after everything was healed, we went up to the Claire's in Escanaba. ( The local Claire's closed for some unapparent reason.) So, I got my ears pierced again. I gritted my teeth, and looked straight ahead as the lady aimed the gun at first my right ear, and then my left. Finally, it was over! The piercer person asked, " I bet it hurts less this time, right?"
I nodded my head up and down twice. To tell the truth it hurt more!

**********************************************************************************

Five days later I felt my ears begin to ache. The piercer person, Danielle, gave me some plastic backs to put on, since you can't be allergic to plastic. ( She seemed to know a lot more than my first piercer, Kimmy. ) So, Mom was messing around trying to slip the backs on which was next to impossible. To make matters worse, she had just put neosporin on which made it quite slippery. It hurt REALLY, REALLY, bad. Mom found in her old stash of jewelry some easier backs to put on. It helped a lot with the plastic backs.

**********************************************************************************

To simplify all of this, the plastic backs worked miracles on my ears, and now a beaming girl from Michigan is telling you all of this, and is warning you to WEAR PLASTIC BACKS!
